I’m Olivia and I’m a freelance chef, food stylist and writer. My mother’s family originates from Emilia Romagna and from a young age my siblings, cousins and I were brought up surrounded by Italian food tradition. I first learnt how to make pasta from my Nonna who would watch over like a hawk until I got it just right. I’ve since cooked in professional kitchens in Italy, worked with the wonderful Pasta Grannies and travelled the country extensively, all of which has enabled me to really understand the never-ending regional specialities of Italian cuisine and inspired my own cooking enormously.

At home, in London, I began my career at The Telegraph where my writing, recipes and photos were published. I’ve since worked in restaurants (Carousel, Pophams, Social Pantry), catered events and food styled for editorial, advertorial and cookbook shoots as well as working with various brands (e.g. Waitrose, Innocent, Sacla and Merchant Gourmet) developing and photographing recipes.

Currently, my focus is on teaching pasta classes and running my supper club – two avenues that allow me to share my love of Italian food and culture with other people.
